An update on another Classmate no longer with us - Bill Macaskill
I received a note from another of our esteemed classmates ....John Robertson ...out there in Evanston, IL..... He had an unfortunate addition to our BLOG regarding a sad note that Bill Macaskill is also on our IN MEMORIUM listing (now at 23). John posted some circumstances on this but I will fill the class in on this later. Just note that this is an update on the previous IN MEMORIUM to keep in your records. John also posted some details of his own whereabouts and history and I will post more of his ventures and family in a future post.
If you wish a PDF of this set of images let me know and I can e-mail it to you. Unfortunately, this BLOG system does not upload PDFs and only allows true image formats ....technology!!...always behind what we want!
My prayers go out to all on the list and I remember Bill very well. Many of you might remember he was a reporter for our Peraltan Magazine and in his junior year he went to Richmond High to report on a basketball game at that campus. Bill and others were confronted but some disgruntled students after SM walked away with another WIN and Bill was attacked and cut with a can opener on his face. He was a fun and life-is-full kind of guy when I knew him at SM. I lost touch with him after graduation but if you have stories about Bill - we all want to know them. Please also remember our others listed and tell us their stories too.
In memory of Bill Macaskill,
Brian

How to POST to this BLOG - and include pictures!!
To All: Many are wondering how to post to this blog and I hope this will help:
As "owner" of this BLOG I have an icon at the top that allows me to enter new stuff at will. Non-Owners ("You") have to enter via a REPLY to a comment. Just know that the reply does go to the already present comment but it is also registered as a new entity to the BLOG. So....at the bottom of any entry is a series of little icons...(see below).... they are "M" for "G-Mail", "B" for "comment to the above note", "T" for "Twitter", "F" is for "Facebook", and "P" for "Pinterest".....some of these icons/programs you might know but the main one to use is "B". Click on the "B" and a new comment field comes up .....there is a "title bar" with the title of the previous comment and some content from the previous comment is there too...erase /delete these characters and change them to your new title and then go to the bigger entry field and enter "your story", "your comment", etc....whatever you wish to say to all of us. You can post a picture (or several pictures) using the icon in the comment menu bar that has a small picture icon. Click on that picture icon (the one after "Link") and a selection field comes up. The photo selection tool comes up to "Choose" the picture(s) from your computer. Choose your files off your computer and click on the "Add Selected" button ...then "Publish" your posting..... Yes...it is easy!!!
Yes...use the "B" button on the page (shown below as the second icon after the "M") and you are good to go.
Problems....e-mail me at bmoyernh@gmail.com and I can help or you can send me your text and images too and I can upload them for you.
My best to all,
Brian

Jim Burns is one lucky guy with retirement now achieved and what a family!
James E Burns has been one lucky guy with marriage to his sweetheart, Sue, now some 40+ years later and a family of three - two girls (Jennifer and Joanie.....his sister is also named Joan...and do you remember his older brother Peter?) and son (Jimmy) and now a plethora of grandchildren. A picture - a Christmas Card - is a testament to this fine fellow.
Maybe some remember the tale of a Christmas Eve dinner at Jim's home where his mom and dad ...great Irish people they were .... hosted a few of us SMCHS guys to a memorable night.
In short....Jim;s dog ....name forgotten by me... tagged a skunk in the back yard behind a utility shed that was overgrown with vines that trapped the dog and the skunk. The dog AND the skunk were both passed out back there from the smell and some of us more foolish sorts climbed back of the shed to pull the living beasts out into fresh air.... WHEWW ...and PEEEUHHHH! It stank up everything.... the skunk woke and tore out of the area and Jim's dog looked like a hungover lad who could not find his way. Long story short...tomato sauce bath upstairs and needless to say the house was transformed for many a day. When I got home that night I had to disrobe in the backyard and took a long soapy shower that was minimally effective.... A night at the Burn's can be anything but typical !!!!

Tim Turner remains a stellar A's Fan with Spring Training trips
Tim Turner enjoys the A's Spring Training. Here he is with his brother Ken (right) and on his left is Paul Morgan, our roommate in college where Ken, Tim, Paul and I (Brian Moyer) lived in Berkeley at a house on Dana St at the corner of Derby St. (with three other roommates) just west of Telegraph Ave at the old COOP and House of Pancakes corners. Paul is the son of Harry Morgan of Dragnet and MASH fame -- yes Paul is the son of THE Colonel Potter.
